FUNDRAISING PROJECTS
$1,369.73 raisedWhat if every young person could pursue their dreams in a way that created real solutions to our community’s everyday problems? They can at The Future Leaders Institute! What if you could help 25 high school students stay in school, discover their passions, and give back to their communities? YOU can with The Future Leaders Institute! GOAL: The Future Leaders Institute (FLI) campaign goal is to raise $2,500 in order to support 25 more bold humanitarian leaders. For every $1 you donate, FLI gets $2 as FLI Board Members will match donations made by June 12, 2011! PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: For the 2011-2012 program year, many schools have expressed interest and need for the FLI program. Despite school funding challenges, FLI works with the schools, foundations, corporations and individuals to continue to serve an average of 100 young future leaders per year. We need YOUR help to expand our outreach to more local youth who can become engaged individuals in both their schools and their communities with the support of FLI. $100 from you or a group of your friends will help 1 student: * Articulate a personal passion and an interest in a social cause * Research, select and initiate a project with maximum projected social impact (at least 24 people) * Manage a personal and a team budget for his/her FLI project * Identify and collaborate with community organizations and Bay Area professionals * Meet specific project targets with improved time management * Publicly present his/her community impact and legacy * Analyze and report individual and project successes/challenges * Present and celebrate individual and project success To learn more about FLI and our unique curriculum, please visit: http://www.thefli.org To witness FLI's impact, come join us in celebrating our 2010-2011 young leaders at Legacy Awards: http://legacyawards2011.eventbrite.com/ HISTORY: The mission of The Future Leaders Institute (FLI) is to engage high school youth in generating and implementing visionary solutions for society. FLI guides and mentors youth across the San Francisco Bay Area as they develop individual initiatives and employ social entrepreneurship in the face of the world’s most pressing needs. Since its founding in 2004, FLI has served over 600 students from 23 Bay Area schools, impacted more than 13,000 people, raised more than $880,000 and made a monumental difference in helping develop Bold Humanitarian Leaders. Donate today to help us reach our 2011-2012 goal of supporting at least 25 more future leaders!
